On June 10th, Industry insider Ross Young revealed that Apple has three iPad Pro models on the road, which are 11 inch, 12.9 inch and 14.1 inch respectively. The 11-inch and 12.9 inch versions have OLED screens, while the 14.1 inch version has MiniLED screens.
Compared with current LCD display technology, MiniLED has better display effect and higher response speed by order of magnitude, a thinner screen, and a significant reduction in power consumption, which can extend battery life.
Compared with OLED display, MiniLED keeps excellent display effect and flexibility, and has faster response speed, higher high temperature reliability, the lifespan is as long as TFT LCD.
In addition, Ross Young revealed that the 14.1-inch iPad Pro also supports ProMotion, and the refresh rate can be adjusted adaptively, allowing the iPad Pro to use different screen refresh rates in different situations and scenarios to ensure a smooth experience while saving power.
The release date of the iPad Pro is still uncertain, and Ross Yong said that Apple is more likely to release the iPad Pro in early 2023. (Source: Fast Technology)
